Increase the usefulness of your website


A list of mailing is the source of your online business life. The old saying “money is in the list” can’t be right – if you have a list of targeted prospects to be contacted every time you have a new product, you will be able to save a lot of effort by marketing it to your targeted prospect list.

You can really build a list of targeted prospects that are interested in your product by offering relevant downloads on your website. For example, let’s look at a very good example – When you download the free iTunes and QuickTime software from their site, they will ask you to fill in an optional name and email form so they can send you offers on songs that you can buy through WHERE – iTunes!

In fact, you don’t need to offer “heavyweight” downloads such as full-featured software like iTunes. You can attract the same good prospects with some free quality like simple reports, free wallpapers, and so on. What’s important is that your download offers enough value for prospects to be willing to give your own e-mail address to get it.

However, slapping simple downloads and putting links on your website will not be enough to attract qualified prospects. You have to do some homework so that your lead generator mechanism works well for you.

First of all, you must highlight the download form on your website. Preferably, pages dedicate there and link to that page from each page of your website. That way, maybe your visitors cannot find a download page, and when they do it, you will get some of them converted into your prospects!

Also, you must try a little to promote your download. Explain complicated download values, and why your visitors must download it. You might think why someone wants to pass Freebie, but most of your visitors will be too lazy to take the effort to download it because most of their downloads just sit on the hard disk collecting virtual dust. Therefore it is important to show your visitors why they have to download your freebie.
